Child Rights

Child Rights refers to the specific human rights that apply to individuals under the age of 18. These rights are outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which emphasizes the importance of ensuring that children are protected and can develop to their full potential. Child Rights encompass various provisions, including the right to life, survival, and development; the right to non-discrimination; the right to participation; and the right to protection from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The overarching aim of Child Rights is to promote the well-being and dignity of children, ensuring that they have access to education, healthcare, and an environment conducive to their growth and happiness. These rights highlight the importance of recognizing children as active participants in society and empower them to voice their opinions and be involved in decisions that affect their lives.
