Fotbal

Fotbal, known as soccer in many regions, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. It is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net. Players primarily use their feet to control and kick the ball, although they may use any part of their body except their arms and hands (the goalkeeper is an exception and may use their hands within the penalty area).

The game is played on a rectangular field, often referred to as a pitch, with a goal at each end. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. The game consists of two halves, typically 45 minutes each, with a halftime break.

Fotbal is known for its global popularity and is the world’s most widely followed sport, with major tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup and continental competitions like UEFA Euro. It has a significant cultural impact and is played at both amateur and professional levels worldwide. The sport encourages physical fitness, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
