Military

The term “military” refers to the organized armed forces of a country, tasked with the defense of the nation and its interests. It encompasses the institutions, personnel, and resources that are involved in the preparation for and conduct of warfare, including the land, naval, air, and, in some countries, space forces. The military is responsible for protecting national security, conducting operations in times of conflict, and often participating in humanitarian and peacekeeping missions during peacetime. Traditionally, the military is characterized by a structured hierarchy, strict discipline, and a set of specialized roles and functions, including combat operations, logistics, intelligence, and support services. Additionally, the concept of military can also extend to the broader implications of defense, strategy, and the relationship between armed forces and civil society.
